July 22 – He Loves me – Psalm 91:14
July 22 –
He Loves me – Psalm 91:14
There are three promises that David points
out in this little verse and also statements of facts.
First, the
Lord loves us. 1 John 4:8 states that
God is loves. 1 Cor 13:13, states that
love is the
foundation
for faith and hope. Love is who God is
and what He is all about. It is His love
that gives us
salvation. It is love that covers a multitude of
sins. Love is foundation of all major
victories in this
world.
The next thing this verse reminds us is
that the Lord will rescue us. Daniel
discovered that when he
was
rescued from the lions dens. The three
Hebrew children had that experienced.
Noah was rescued
from the
flood and Jesus save His disciples from the storm. God will recue His children. Whatever you
face today
God will rescue you.
Lastly, the Lord will protect those who
acknowledge His name. Jesus said if you
acknowledge Him He
Will
acknowledge you. If we are ashamed of
Christ He will be ashamed of us. So
today remember you
are loved
rescued and protected. Three great
promises to reflect on today.

Angels watching over you – Psalm 91:11-12
One of the recurring themes in the Bible
is angels. Ministering spirits sent by
God to help God’s
people. David says that the Lord will command His
angels to guard over you in all your ways.
Wherever
you go and
whatever you do angels are with you. You
are never alone. They camp around
you. We
know they
are powerful and glorious. One angel
destroyed the entire Assyrian army. They
are full of
goodness
and mercy. They will protect you to the
point that you won’t even hurt a toe.
Satan used these verses against Jesus in
the temptation in the wilderness. Yet
Jesus did not call them
because He
knew His time was in His own hands.
Jesus chose the time of His death.
Now you may not
have that
luxury but until that time angels are watching over you Amy Grant sang. Remember as you go
throughout
this day. You are bullet proof until the
Lord says otherwise. You have unseen
help to walk
in victory
and without fear today.

July 16 – The Favor of the Lord – Psalm 90:16-17
July 16 –
The Favor of the Lord – Psalm 90:16-17
Moses has a simple prayer here as He
closes off this Psalm. Moses of course
was the greatest old
testament
prophet. He saw the Lord face to
face. His prayer is that the deeds of
the Lord is upon His
people. Moses wanted the people to see the tangible
proof of God. Reality is so much better
than
theory. He then prays that the splendor of God would
be in our children. His favor and
splendor is for
all
generations. This is theme and essence
of this psalm.
Moses then prays the favor of God upon the
people. Favor means approval, support
and kindness.
God does
this for His people. He loves all people
but that does not means His favor is on all people.
You make
the choice to step into the favor and blessing of God. Moses then asks the Lord to make the
work of
His hands to be given to people. Moses
had seen the visible working of God. He
wanted more
of
that. Moses saw mighty miracles. Supernatural exploits of God. God has liberated the people
through
His mighty hand. The greatest nation in
the world had been humbled by God. Moses
wanted
more of
that. Oh how we need this today. Let us prayer for divine intervention in our
world`s today.

July 15 – Dwelling Place – Psalm 90:1-2
July 15 – Dwelling Place – Psalm 90:1-2
This is a psalm of Moses which means it has been around for around 3400
years. Moses begins with
reminding the people that the Lord has been
their dwelling place throughout all generations. He was
their dwelling place in the past, He will be
their dwelling place in the present and then in the future.
God is consistent though all times periods
of life.
Moses then states that before anything was form the Lord was God. He is the eternal self existent
God.
He always has been and always will be.
Another truth is that He has been God and will be God
from everlasting to everlasting. Moses tells all that God is God. There is no God but Him and will never
be any God but Him. There are many voices trying to pull people
away from God and we must make a
choice to be the dwelling place of God. One fact remains is that He is God no matter
what people say.
In Genesis 1, the Bible begins with God
created the heavens and the earth. It
does not defend God it
Just states that he is God and He created
all things. A simple fact and
truth. Remember that in your
trials of life. He is God and He is on your side.

July 14 – God keeps His promises – Psalm 89:34-37
July 14 – God keeps His promises – Psalm 89:34-37
This is such a powerful psalm for it speaks about how God will keep His
word. The Lord says that He
will not violate any covenant or promise
that He makes. He swears by His
holiness. There is no lying, or
impurity in the Lord. He is holy, righteous and truthful. The Lord will not lie to David or us.
Here is the promise. David`s line
with endure forever. Jesus was to come
from this line and He is
now Savior and Lord. This was a promise to Israel and to us. Jesus came the first time as the suffering
Savior but when He returns He will come as
the King of Kings and Lord of Lord`s.
David’s throne will
endure before the Lord like the Sun. Scientists tell us the Sun has about another
billion years left
before it burns out. Long time when you think about it.
Ethan closes off with the fact that as long as the moon and sky endure
so will the Lord’s promise to
David.
God will keep His promises as well to us. Today whatever you need the Lord will
supply. He will
keep you in perfect peace. He is trustworthy so today keep your eyes on
Him for as long as creation
endures so shall His promise to you.
July 13 – I will sing – Psalm 89-:1-2
July 13 –
I will sing – Psalm 89-:1-2
This is a psalm or Maskil of Ethan the
Ezrahite. He will spend the majority of
this psalm relating of the
power and
majesty of God. Ethan starts by saying
that he is going to sing of the Lord`s great love
forever. He will make know throughout all generation
of the faithfulness of God. This is the
theme of
the
singers and musicians of David`s day.
They had seen how God had been faithful to Israel and to
David.
Ethan relates how the Lord`s love is
stable and consistent. You can always
stand on the Lord`s love.
It is
powerful and strong. This love is like a
rock that does not move. It is beyond
comprehension. Then
he states
that the faithfulness of God is established in heaven. It is part of His nature and character.
Love and
faithfulness are the essence of God. He
is not like man who changes with every wind of
Culture. God will always be who He is and to be
something would go against His own nature.
So today
reflect on
these qualities and rejoice in the fact that you know Him.
