Woes of privilege

Woes of privilege – Matt 11:20-25

Jesus denounced the cities where most of His miracles had been performed because they who lived there did not repent.  If Jesus’ miracles that had been done in these cities had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented and put on sackcloth and ashes.  Judgment will be easier on the cities of Tyre and Sidon than on these Jewish cities.  Capernaum wanted to be lifted up but it shall be downcast.  If the miracles that had been performed in Capernaum had been done in Sodom, it would be still around.  Sodom will be judged better than Capernaum,  What Jesus was saying is that the people of these cities had seen God but they did not repent and because of the that they would be judged harshly.  The reality is that with more spiritual light comes greater responsibility.
