John Doubt

John Doubt – Matt 11:1-19 and Luke 18-35

    This is the last day we will be talking about Jesus’ teaching on John the Baptist.  John was the greatest and last prophet of the Old Testament.   Jesus called His generation children who were selfish and arrogant.  People said that John had a demon and that Jesus was a glutton or drunkard.  Jesus was however a friend of the common man.

    True wisdom is shown by her actions.  God uses what is considered foolishness to confound the wise of the world.  Jesus told how the common man believed in John’s word but the Pharisees did not.  They rejected God’s purpose for themselves.  John baptized men for the remission of sin.  He wanted men to show in an outward way what had happened in their hearts.    True wisdom Jesus says is proven by the actions of her children.
