The Lord teaches

The Lord teaches  -  Sixty three

There are many examples from nature where the Lord can teach us great lessons about Himself and truth.  In all of nature there are 11 different types of animals that mate for life.  The turtle dove is one of the most famous.   Here is a little bird that once it finds its mate they are faithful to each other for life.  They raise their chicks together.  They work together to produce their nest .  They were chosen as part of the poem twelve days of Christmas because of their devotion, love and purity to each other.  The most famous quality the turtle dove is known for is its faithfulness to its mate.  The Lord will be faithful to us.  He will always deal with us in purity, righteousness and love.  The Lord will never leave or forsake us.  He will be there when no one or nothing else will be.  The Lord will always be faithful to us even if we are not faithful.  He will help us to raise our families.  He wishes to be the third person in every home.  The Psalmist said if the Lord does not build the house the labor is in vain.  We can acquire wealth, success and fame but if we do not have the Lord all our labor is in vain.  We may give our children all the advantages of wealth and freedom but if we do not train them in the way they should go they will depart from the Lord and will greatly disappoint you and the Lord.  The Lord has promised to keep our children if we turn them over to the Lord.
In these last days we need the Lord like we have never needed Him before.  He will be our rock and fortress.  He will keep us in the storms of life.  We will see the blessing of the Lord in our families when we say to the idols and people of this world, “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.”  It Is time to take your place and be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.  The marvelous thing is that the Lord is with you all the way.  Like the turtle dove the Lord has chosen you for His mate.  You are the bride of Christ clothed in purity and righteousness.  He will always be with you.  His devotion and care will never falter or fail.  So commit your ways, world, family and plans to the Lord.  He will be with you until the end.
