Jesus in Egypt

Matt 2:13—18

                Jesus was taken by His parents to Egypt because they were warned in a dream that Herod would try to kill Jesus.  They went down to Egypt and stayed there until he died.  Herod sent troops to Bethlehem and all the children under two years were killed.  Many cried that day.

1.       God will always keep His anointed from danger and that includes us.

2.       The enemy may roar around us but the angels of the Lord camp around us.

3.       The Lord always confirms and fulfills His word.

4.       There will be weeping and mourning for those who die but there is comfort for those who mourn.

Wise Word

It is Thursday and here is your thought for today.  A wise word spoken, at the right time, for the right reason will heal, inspire, encourage and enlighten the soul and spirit.  Today give that word and minister God's grace and mercy to someone today.

5 You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.

Jesus

Matt2:1-12

This is the second day of our time with the wise men.  It is what we will learn from this account today.

1.        Jesus is a shepherd to the people of Israel.

2.       The star was a sign of something great for we know that person was Jesus Christ.

3.       The world is deceitful and we must be careful of them.

4.       When a true seeker of God comes into the presence of Christ they are overjoyed to see Him.

5.       Jesus will always be there to keep us safe from the harm of the evil one.
