Psalm 120 - Psalm of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

Oh God you have provided many examples in the Word for us.
David was a man after your heart.
Gideon was a mighty man of valor.
Elijah was a prophet who defied a king.
Isaiah was a statesman prophet.
Amos was a shepherd prophet and a Full Gospel Businessman.
In recent times you have given us Barnabus a man of encouragement.

Barnabus was a man of great sympathy.
He was broad minded.  He saw people as they could be.
He loved to encourage and promote forgiveness.
The Spirit filled and led his life.
He was man who had a wonderful demeanor.
He inspired others to be an influence for Christ.
His life was one that demonstrated trustworthiness.

Barnabus understood that life was more than possessions.
Yet when he appear before others he represented the Lord.
No man was adapted to missionary service like him.
He sponsored the unlikely and promoted others before himself.
He knew by exalting others the Lord would be glorified.
Truly the Lord used him to support others.
Oh how we need people like him today.  Would you be like him in your world?

Psalm 119 - Psalm of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

What a difference in what God clothes with and what man does.
Men clothes themselves with linen, silk, wool and fine fabrics.
They wear bracelets, ornaments and chains.
All to draw attention to themselves to show their uniqueness.
Some wear earrings and rings.
These bobbles make us feel important and we think with these we will stand out.

The reality is that these adornments show our insecurities.
The fool says, "Look at me I am unique."
Yet the truth is that they are insecure, weak and foolish.
Clothing, possessions, money and fame are hollow and empty.
True riches are not found in things but in the unseen.
When one sees that you have true found true vision.

The Lord clothes us in a robe of righteousness.
He gives us a turban of justice.
We have been given salvation as our covering.
We have been given the garments of praise.
Outward cloaks of strength and honor.
He has replaced our filthy rags with rich garments.

The Lord has clothed us with the robe of love.
A helmet of salvation.  We have a belt of truth.
Boots with peace and a sash of joy.
The Lord gives a ring of honor and a bracelet of compassion.
We have been clothed from head to foot with holiness.
The Lord is to be praised for His goodness.

Psalm 118 - Psalms of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

One night as I was sitting on my bed.
I pondered and meditated on the grace of God.
I thought to my self, "Why did God redeem me?"
Of all the people in all the earth  why did God come to me?
In a moment, in a flash of time, the Spirit spoke.

Grace is a characteristic of God communicated to man.
It is needed to give to man eternal and abundant life.
Grace is the mercy of God given in a compassionate manner.
It cannot be earned, given through merit or resources,
It is strictly a gift given by a loving God.

Grace is the wonderful abiding and powerful mercy of God.
God's riches at Christ's expense.
Jesus took our place.  He is our substitute.
His blood and broken body gave us the rights of heaven.
All we can do is receive it by faith.

As I begin to close my thoughts on this subject.
The peace of God flowed through my heart.
Truly grace is the complete love of God.
The peace of being forgiven and adopted into His family.
Nothing can compare and only God can give this.

Psalm 117 - Psalms of Steel by Robert Den Steel

Praise the Lord for He is an awesome God.
In Him there is an abundance in all things.
He gives abundant joy that is our strength and contentment.
In Him we have grace, mercy, love, peace and faith.
He is our abundant life.  He came to give it to us.
In the overflow of the of the beauty of holiness.

He is the God of abundant grace.
We did not get what we deserve.
Through the blood of Jesus Christ our salvation was purchased.
With Him came the abundance of righteousness and justice.
The God of abundant power has bestowed this upon you.
All that is needed for victory and freedom is yours.

He is Jehovah Jireh the abundant provider.
All our needs will be met according to the riches of His glory.
The Lord is the abundant entrance into life.
He is the door to eternity past, present and future.
He can and will do beyond what you can imagined or dream.
You will prosper and be in abundance in Him.

Time for Revival

Have come to the conclusion after today that the only thing that is going to clean up, clear out and change the church in general is revival. Right now we are confused, apathetic, watered down and basically useless. We now debate things that should never be a debate. We confused right from wrong. We have allowed that which is wrong to become right. Never did I believe I would see this. Where is Canada's John Wesley, Where is our next John Knox, who is the next Elijah because now we have the prophets of Baal right in the church? The Jezebel's have us on the run. The word is being water down for the sake of situational ethics. Prayer in general is non existent or ineffective. Enough is Enough. Choose this day who you will serve, the gods of the land but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. Being a true Christian is never popular or cool. The gospel is foolishness to the world but to the perishing it is life ever lasting. No more peddling soft soap, feel good, every bodies in type of Christianity. It is time to get right with God. Remember judgment begins in the house of the Lord. We have dropped the ball, no we actually gave it to the opposing team. Time for 2 Chron 7:14, if my people which are called by my name will humble themselves, pray, seek my face and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, then and only then will He hear from heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land. Are you hot or cold? Because we all know what Jesus does with lukewarm. BLAHH. Get the message.

Watch and Pray

In Mark 14:38, there is a three word phrase.  Jesus says, "watch and pray."  He then gives the reasons.  So you will not fall into temptation.  For truly the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.  There is a reality that everyone of us face everyday.  The Lord could come that day or we could meet Him through the portal of death.  There is no guarantee on life so we need to be doing two things.  We need to watch and pray.  Watching indicates that you are looking and living ready.  The job of a guard in Jesus' day was to watch for the enemy.  He was to alert the city of anything that look suspicious.  If he failed at his job the city could be lost.  Our job today is to watch, we are God's watchman in our world's. Next we are to pray.  This carries with it a great responsibility.  Larry Lea says the greatest ministry we can do is pray because Jesus Himself right now is praying.  Prayer is communication and communion with God.  We talk to Him and He talks to us.  We called on Him for ourselves, family and those in our world.  So today.  Watch and pray.  Live ready and you will not miss a thing.

Sanctfied with truth

In John 17:17, Jesus prayed that we would be sanctified by the truth of God and that we would know that His word is truth. Jesus said in John 14:6, that He was the way, the truth and life.  No person can come to the Father but through Him.  Jesus is the truth.  He has always been and always will be the truth.  When He stood before Pilate and Pilate asked, "what is truth?"  The truth was standing before Pilate.  Truth for many is what they perceive it to be.  Yet the reality is that the only redemptive truth there is, is Jesus Christ.  He is the only way to God and will always be the only way to God.  Jesus was God's way and God's idea.  The Lord was well aware of the fact that sin was both an eternal and a man made problem so it would have to be an eternal man who could solve it.  Jesus was God's answer.  So when faced with this truth we have a decision to make.  Will we accept God's way or will we not?  The consequences of that decision has eternal consequences.  Today as His people let us spread the message of this truth to those in our world.  Jesus made the way and now we just need to tell others.  We are His ambassadors of truth.  We have been sanctified by it for the Lord's word is truth.  Remember it is the truth that sets us free.
