July 29 – My Anxiety – Psalm 94:14-15
July 29 – My Anxiety – Psalm 94:14-15
These two verses are so great for those going through hard times. The psalmist says that when he
felt like life and was slipping out of control. When He felt that he was about to fall. When his anxiety
and fear level was at an all time high that is when the love of God came into support Him. When we
have conflict and war going on in our minds that is when the consolation, comfort, righteousness and
peace of the Lord flood in. In 1 Pet 5:7 we are reminded to cast all our cares on Him for He cares for us.
Jesus has promised peace so in this moment receive His peace. Jesus promised that if we come to
Him with our burdens He will take them and carry them. In this moment as you start your day give all
your burdens, concerns and hurt to Him. He will heal, restore, forgive and set your free. Make that
choice today.

July 28 – The Lord teaches – Psalm 94:12-13
July 28 – The Lord teaches – Psalm 94:12-13
The psalmist brings a pearl of wisdom or common sense. Often the Bible is a collection of pithy and
wise sayings and stories of common sense and accounts of men dealing with a God of grace, mercy and
love. Here the psalmist points out that a person that the Lord disciplines and correct is actually blessed.
One man stated that the Lord loves us to much to allow us to stay the way we are. We are flawed, sinful
And prideful. This needs to be corrected or we will be selfish vain and damaging to others. We correct
Our children because their bad behaviour hurts themselves and others. God does the same with us.
The problem is no one really likes to be corrected.
When a person is taught by the word of God this actually gives them relief in their times of trouble.
The Bible is a compass and guide book for life. In its pages you find written examples of how to avoid
Trouble and the consequences of sin and pride. These examples are given so we do not have to make
The same mistake as others.
The psalmist says that a pit is waiting for the wicked. You reap what you sow. Often we find our-
Selves in a pit of our own making. Wicked creates pits of despair or hurt. Sow wickedness and you
Reap wickedness. Sow righteousness and you will reap righteousness. Seems the choice should be
Clear.

July 27 – The Lord reigns – Psalm 93:1
July 27 – The Lord reigns – Psalm 93:1
The Psalmist writes to important facts. The Lord reigns. He is supreme and in control. No one is like
God. Heaven and earth were created by Him and for Him. It was out of love that He made all things. He
Is the creator and sustainer of all things. He is the reason why we breathe and think. Next, the Lord is
Robed in majesty. Majesty means greatness or one who brings admiration and respect. The Lord has all
These qualities and more. He is beyond description in fact to wonderful for words.
The Lord is armed with strength. No one is mightier or more powerful than God. He is omnipotent.
One quality about the creation He made is that it is firm established and cannot be moved. The law and
order He created cannot be suspended or changed. Only the Lord Himself can do that. These are things
that all creatures in God’s creation can be sure of and that the Lord is the same yesterday, today and
forever. You can trust the Lord with your past, present and future.

July 26 – They will flourish – Psalm 92:12-15
July 26 – They will flourish – Psalm 92:12-15
The righteous will flourish is the promise. The psalmist uses the illustration of a palm tree that
grows like a cedar of Lebanon. The cedars in Lebanon were mighty and strong. They will be planted in
the house of the Lord and will flourish in the courts of the Lord. Life in the spirit is one of abundance
and growth.
The righteous will bear fruit long past when fruit is suppose to grow. They will stay green and fresh.
Life will be constant, stable and strong in the midst of old age. We saw this in the lives of Moses,
Abraham and Daniel. Each man was strong and fruitful well into their twilight years. You are never to
old to be used of God.
These lives will proclaim the Lord is upright. We are lighthouse and mirrors for the Lord. We show
His light and life to a dark and perishing world. He is our rock and there is no wickedness in Him. The
Lord is our source of light, life, fruitfulness and abundance at any age.
