Proverb of Steel
Love can never be measured, it cannot be
analyzed. You cannot put it on a graph or time its effect. All you
can do is experience its affect and allow it to flow through you to others.
Verse Today
Psalm 23:2New International Version (NIV)
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
Devotion
Luke 2:21-23
Jesus was brought by His parents to the temple on the day for his dedication. We learn that every first born male was to be presented to the Lord. The first born male was heir to the family name and fortune. They carried the glory of the family and God according to Jewish tradition. They were the Lord’s and the parents would have to buy the boy back paying a price of two doves. This is what Mary and Joseph were doing at this time and they would meet two people who would confirm how special their child was and His destiny in this world. God will always confirm His promises when we are obedient to what He tells us to do.
Thursday Thought
It is Thursday and here is a wonderful thought. Love can never be measured, it cannot be analyzed. You cannot put it on a graph or time its effect. All you can do is experience its affect and allow it to flow through you to others. Be that channel today to your family, friends and the Lord.

Isaiah 41:10New International Version (NIV)
10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
The angels
Luke 2:2-10
This morning we are going to look at the proclamation of the angels to the Shepherds. According to this account the shepherds were outside of Bethlehem tending their sheep when an angel of the Lord comes. They become frightened by the glory of the Lord. The angel tells them not to be afraid for he brings them good news. He told them that in Bethlehem the Messiah was being born. Then a great number of angels appeared and praise God for His great blessings, so the shepherds went to see the baby.
1. We learned that Jesus was born according to the prophecy found in Micah 5:2
2. Jesus’ birth is great news for all.
3. Jesus is the Christ, the Lord, and His birth was witnessed by angels and confirmed by shepherds. The highest of heaven and the lowest on earth.
4. Glory to God in the highest and when He reign’s, peace will be on the earth.
5. Jesus is the Saviour of mankind.
Use Me
It is Tuesday and here is a powerful and simple thought. No other phrase is greater you can say to God and to others is, "Use me God." Today let the Lord use you in any way He wishes and you will be amazed what will happen and who you will touch for His glory. Wait and be amazed.

Proverb of Steel
The challenge we face everyday is to forget our past,
don't worry about today and realize we have a future.
Verse Today
Isaiah 41:13New International Version (NIV)
13 For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you.
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you.
Joseph and Jesus
Matt 1:18-25
Joseph discovered here that Mary was going to have a baby. He thought that she had been unfaithful to him, so he was going to put her away secretly. Joseph was a righteous man and he did not want to disgrace her publicly. Before he did this act however the Lord comes to him in a dream and reveals how Mary became pregnant. Joseph then does what the Lord wanted.
1. We learn that a virgin gives birth to a baby who was the Messiah. A fulfillment of Isaiah 7:14
This act would be done through the agent of the Holy Spirit.
2. They would name Him Jesus and He was going to save mankind from their sins.
3. His name shall be called Immanuel which means God with us. Jesus would be the incarnation of God. He was God with a face.
Today
It is a brand new week and here are a couple things to think about. The challenge we face everyday is to forget our past, don't worry about today and realize we have a future. Today God has got your covered. Give today to Him and seek His kingdom and righteousness and everything else will be added to you. He cares about you and will keep you through this day as you trust in Him.

Weekend Thought
It is the weekend and here is your thought. For many to much time is wasted on worrying about the present and forgetting God knows and will handle the future. So put your past, present and future in the Lord's hand. Jesus said that tomorrow will have enough worry in it self so today let the Lord order your steps. He has a great future for you but today let Him guide you and you will have a great day and be the blessing he intended you to be.

Proverb of Steel
Life with God has often been described as a
roller coaster. So strap yourself in, hold on and enjoy every second of
the ride.
Verse Today
Isaiah 55:11King James Version (KJV)
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Mary
Luke 1:26-38
The angel of the Lord told Mary that she was going to have a child by the power of the Holy Spirit. She was puzzled but God, knowing her heart knew she would give in to the will of God whatever the cost. It was going to be a miracle because she was still a virgin. We know that with God all things are possible, for He can do the impossible.
1. Mary was a descendent of David and God was with her we learn in our first point.
2. She was going to give birth to the Son of God and she was going to name Him Jesus.
3. Jesus is going to be great and be called the Son of the Most High God. He was going to receive the throne of David.
4. Jesus was going to be the Holy One and we learn that with God nothing is impossible.
The two lessons we learn today is that the will of God is not always easy and secondly doing the will of God allows us to do the impossible.
Life with God.
It is the beginning of the week and here is your thought. Life with God has often been described as a roller coaster. So strap yourself in, hold on and enjoy every second of the ride. God has a great dream, destiny and plan for you. Life with God will never be boring but it will be so fulfilling. There is no life like it.

Jesus Christ
Matt 1:1-17 & Luke 3:23-38
Today we are looking at the genealogy of Jesus Christ. These accounts prove that Jesus was from the line of Abraham and He can also be traced right back to Adam. In Matthew the line that is given is through Joseph and in Luke we see Mary’s lineage. These accounts show us that Jesus was all Jew. That is why the lists are different. Luke and Matthew are systematic in their approach to this subject. God made sure all the bases were covered in Jesus background. In your case He will forgive your sins and give you a new future and resolve any issues with your past.
Verse Today
Psalm 107:6New International Version (NIV)
6 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
and he delivered them from their distress.
Thursday Thought
It is already Thursday and here your thought for today. To realize that you have a weakness is the first step to real strength. Real wisdom is also knowing that your weaknesses can become strength in the Lord. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Go in the Lord's strength today and become strong for Him.

Prayer is the most useful tool we have in our spiritual
tool belt to fix any problem area of life.
Verse Today
Psalm 55:22New International Version (NIV)
22 Cast your cares on the Lord
and he will sustain you;
he will never let
the righteous be shaken.

Jesus
ohn 1:1-18 – Part Two
Today we continue in our study on John 1. John relays the following truths to prove Christ’s incarnation and divinity.
1. He was in the world and even though He made it, the world did not know Him.
2. He came to give men power and to make them the Sons of God, if they will believe in His name.
3. He came to have mankind become born of God by a supernatural way by the will of God. Jesus told Nicodemus that He must be born again. This a work of the Holy Spirit.
4. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. The glory of God is shown and He is God’s only Son.
5. He is full of grace and truth and because of this we are blessed.
6. He is the only man who ever lived who truly saw God and He is His Son.
John is showing us that Jesus is all He said He was and more. Right from the beginning we are aware of who Jesus is and what He has come to do. Our response should be, “Lord make me an instrument in your hand for your praise and glory.
Prayer
Prayer is the most useful tool we have in our spiritual tool belt to fix any problem area of life. So today tell the Lord what is happening in your world and then believe Him for the breakthrough. By faith you will have it.
