Proverb of Steel
The will of God will never be obeyed by a person who has
the will of man in their heart.
Verse Today
1 Timothy 2:8New International Version (NIV)
8 Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy handswithout anger or disputing.
Fullness
Fullness – Romans 15:13-15
Vs 13 – Paul in this verse
releases the fullness of spiritual life.
The God of hope will fill us with joy and peace as we trust in Him. The power of the Holy Spirit flowing in and
through us will create an overflow of hope in us. We know whom we have believed in and are
persuaded that He is able to keep that which have committed to Him.
Vs 14 - Paul then tells them that he is convinced
that the Roman Christian have these following qualities. First, they are full and complete with
goodness. Next, They are complete in
their knowledge of Christ. Thirdly,
competent to teach and instruct each other in the things of God. He believed them to be a caring and competent
church.
Weekend
It is the weekend and here is a couple of thoughts. The will of God will never be obeyed by a person who has the will of man in their heart. The Lord is looking for people who know their God and His promise is the they will do exploits. Do you want to be more than you currently are? Then do the will of God and all things will be added unto you. You will find that there is no life like it.

Proverb of Steel
When someone claims to be broad minded it
usually means they are open to whatever evil has presented itself as good.
person and
the Gentiles will put their trust and hope in Him. Jesus is not just the Messiah of the Jews but
the Savior and Lord of all men. We can
put our trust and hope in Him. He will
give us both eternal and abundant life.
His people
His people – Romans 15:10-12
Vs 10 – Paul repeats this
idea. The word says again, “Rejoice O
gentiles His people.” The gentiles have
become the children of God through the broken body and shed blood of Jesus
Christ.
Vs 11 – One more verse for
emphasis. Praise the Lord all people who
are Gentiles. Sing praises to Him all
you people. This is both a prayer and a
promise. The Gentiles have been grafted
into the family of God because of mercy and grace,
Vs 12 – Paul quotes Isaiah
11:1 and states that the root of Jesse will spring up someone who will rule the
nations. Jesus Christ is that person and
the Gentiles will put their trust and hope in Him. Jesus is not just the Messiah of the Jews but
the Savior and Lord of all men. We can
put our trust and hope in Him. He will
give us both eternal and abundant life.
Thursday Thought
It is Thursday and here is a powerful thought. When someone claims to be broad minded it usually means they are open to whatever evil has presented itself as good. Today make sure to follow the Lord and have His mind and view on things. Remember a righteous life is the best and it is also an abundant life. You will be in health and prosperity as your soul prosper.

Verse Today
Colossians 4:2New International Version (NIV)
Further Instructions
2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Unity
Unity – Romans 15:6-8
Vs 6 – This unity creates one
heart and mouth which in turn glorifies God.
The life of the Christian is one of glorification of the Father and the
Lord Jesus Christ. Our theme song should
be, “In my life Lord be glorified.” With
are to have speech and mouths of righteousness.
Vs 7 – Paul asks his audience
to accept one another as Christ has accepted them. This brings praise to God. Love acceptance and forgiveness should be
cornerstone to who we are in Christ.. It
should be our philosophy of life and motto or vision statement for who we are.
Vs 8 – Jesus Christ became a
servant of the Jews. He ministered to
them on behalf of the Father. He came to
not only confirm the promises given by the patriarch’s and the prophets but to
fulfill them. There are more than 300
promises concerning Jesus in the Old Testament.
Jesus confirmed and fulfilled them.
Middle of the week
It is the middle of the week and here is a profound thought. A society that embraces evil as good and good as evil is on the brink of disaster. As a person and as a nation we should seek the Lord for our nation. Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach on a nation. Pr 14:34. Today our greatest weapon is prayer, So let us pray for our leaders and then go and make our world better for Christ. In this way we will in time live quiet and peaceful lives.

Verse Today
Philippians 4:6New International Version (NIV)
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Proverb of Steel
Never leave your time with God for the last
minute. Your moral life will reflect this.
The Bible
The Bible – Romans 15:4-5
Vs 4 – Paul now reveals one
of the reasons for the Bible. These
things were written so that we could be taught.
We do not have to repeat the same mistakes that Bible characters
did. Through endurance and the
encouragement of the scriptures, we might have hope. Life is a journey or long distance
affair. We have to pace ourselves and
times are difficult and tough we just have to remember the prize or reward at
the end.
Vs 5 - Paul then prays or releases a thought that
the God who brings endurance and encouragement give a spirit of unity among
each one of us. Unity has both a divine
and natural source. God will give us the
desire and then we have to work it out.
In this way we are following Christ.
Christ always worked in perfect unity with the Father and the
Spirit. There are our role model in
life.
Time with God.
It is Tuesday and here is a simple but powerful thought. Never leave your time with God for the last minute. Your moral life will reflect this. Quality time with God means quality of life. Don't rush through your time with God. Time with Him is well spent and your life will reflect it.

Proverb of Steel
Peace is what God gives you in your heart when
you show love for Him, yourself and others.
Verse Today
Romans 8:26New International Version (NIV)
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
Verse Today
Romans 8:26New International Version (NIV)
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
The Weak
Vs 1 – Those who are strong should and want to bear up those who are weak. This is a responsibility of the strong. This should be a love and duty for the spiritually strong. Jesus did this with us when we started. There may also be a time when we may need some help and you reap what you sow. It is not about pleasing ourselves but God and others. Acts of kindness help defeat the trend towards selfishness.
Vs 2 – Paul then gives the exhortation that we should please our neighbor for their good in this way they are built up. Jesus is our example the gospels tell us that He went every where doing good. Godly living is about meeting the needs of others.
Vs 3 – Paul uses Jesus Christ as the example to follow. He did not come to please Himself. The insults that have fallen on us have actually fallen on Him. Jesus is our burden bearer. He was insulted, beaten and crucified for us. By His stripes we are healed.

Blessed Assurance
Blessed Assurance – 1
John 5:13-15 – May 25th 2008
Intro: It seems to
have taken a long time to get here but this is the second last message of 1
John. Today we are going to learn about
assurance and the power of prayer. Both
essential in the life of faith.
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God
so you may know that you have eternal life.
1. This letter is
written primarily to the Christians of the church at Ephesus .
This was a
Church that
according to Jesus in Rev 2:4-5, had forgotten their first love, and they
Have fallen from
a great height of faith. He tells them
to repent and do what they did
At first or they
would have their lamp stand removed.
2. Now the church at Ephesus was not all
backslidden in fact far from it. In Rev
2:2-3
Jesus commends
them on their patience, hatred of wickedness, ability to test false
Teaching,
perseverance, ability to endure hardship and refusal to grow weary.
3. Unfortunately when
you have forgotten or neglected your first love one of the results
Is not fully
knowing where you stand. John wrote them
to remind them that if they
Believe in the
name of the Son f God they would know they have eternal life.
4. Scholars tell us
this verse, it the Key to he Book of John.
John wrote it so that his
Readers and
audience of that day and today, would know that they have eternal life.
Frank Thompson
says this verse is “The purpose of this Word.”
This is the foundation
Of the next verse
and subject we will cover which is the power of prayer.
5. Now remember John
in the last paragraph, talked about the testimony of God. He is
Saying here that
the assurance of ones salvation always rest fundamentally and
Sufficiently on
the direct promises of God. As Roy B
Zuck wrote. “One’s assurance
Rests on the
testimony of God. “
6. Here are some
assurance scriptures.
a. In Col 2:2, Paul tells us
that assurance brings encouragement and unity in love.
Fullness and
complete understanding.
b. Paul writes in 1
Thess 1:5, that with deep conviction and the power of the Holy Spirit
Comes assurance.
c. Paul then in 1 Tim
1:12, reminds Timothy that faithful service gives strength and
Assurance.
d. The writer of
Hebrews says in Heb 10:22, that when we draw near to God with sincere
Hearts, we will
have full assurance. With that will come
a cleanse heart, mind and
Body.
e. In1 John we have
five assurance scriptures more than any other book in the New
Testament. They are, 2:3, 3:19, 4:13, 5:10 & 5:13
This is the assurance we have in approaching God: that if we ask
anything according to His will, He hears us.
1. This is such a
powerful statement. There is again not
just assurance knowing about
Salvation but also in the power of
prayer. This statement gives confidence
when we
Pray. This is scriptural & spiritual
knowledge. You know in your inner most
being.
2. Dan 9:12 &
1:23, tell us that before our prayer request is out of our mouth the answer
Is on the
way. Heb 4:15 tells we have access to
the throne of God. Immediately and
Instantaneously.
3. I could talk for a
long time about the power of prayer. But
John puts so simple. If we
Ask anything
according to His will, He hears us. What
assurance, what confidence.
You say what is
the will of God. This book I am holding
in my hand. This morning
I am not giving a
discussion about the will of God except to say.
The Bible is the will
Of God. What is the will of God for you and me? It is tell others about Him. To love
One another. To stay close to God and do whatever He
asks. Seek His kingdom first.
4. The will of God is
to supply all your needs, your food, shelter, clothing and
Transportation. Even the smallest of needs. Talk about what Jess said in the Sermon
On the mount
about the flowers and birds. I love this
story. 4582.
And if we know He hears us whatever we ask, we know that we have what
ask of Him.
1. The French mystic,
Jean Guyon said, it is the simple faith of a child who knows that
When ask our
father for something out of love if it is possible and good for us he will
Give to us.
2. This verse is a
simple declaration of faith and truth.
You know in your heart, soul
And mind. You know God will hear you. I personally believe His ear is tune to
Our requests,
desires and needs. What ever it is, you
know. You know, you
Know.
3. It is this
simple. We know, He hears, we ask, He
gives and we get. This declaration
Of faith is a
cornerstone verse of prayer. John
believed this and so should we John
Saw in action in
the life of Christ. Jesus calmed the
waves, fed the 5000, healed the
Sick, cleansed
the leper and raised the dead on this statement. Jesus stated in the book
Of John that the
Father granted whatever he asked because they were one. We can be
One with the
Father if we take this verse to heart.
4. John is stating
you have a divine audience and a promise of answered prayer and
God’s
provision. This is a promise from
God. There are 3476 groups of promises
In God’s
words. Hundreds of categories. All given to us his people and John is re-
Stating this so
as we open these altars today and pray for you.
Take this to heart.
The will of God
is to save, heal, deliver, restore, reconcile, forgive, encourage,
Strengthen, bring victory, protect, guide, direct and
bring total victory.
Verse Today
Luke 18:1New International Version (NIV)
The Parable of the Persistent Widow
18 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
Believe
Believe – Romans 14:22-24
Vs 22 – Paul says that we
should not eat meat or drink or anything else if it will either cause another
to stumble or their faith to be destroyed.
It is a balancing act but love walks in wisdom and love.
Vs 23 – Paul beautifully
states whatever you believe about these things keep to yourself and God. These are you convictions and yours
alone. Paul says blessed is the man
who is not condemned by what he approves.
We are not called to be morality cops on each other. If a person has a conviction based on what
God has spoken to them and another disapproves.
It is not our job to correct but pray that the Holy Spirit will convince
them other wise. Holiness is not a
matter of rights, wrongs, do and don’ts.
It is doing what pleases God,
Vs 24 – If a person has doubts
about what they are doing than they are not walking in faith for anything that
is not of faith is sin. James says if we
know what to do is right and we do not do it, it is sin. Paul is saying if you have doubts about
something pray, read God’s word, ask the Holy Spirit, seek counsel of wise
leaders about it. Then once you have
your answer stand in it approved and pleasing to God.
Weekend Thought
It is the weekend and here is an exhortation. Live your life so well that at the end of it, even you enemies will miss you. When you love the Lord with all your heart, you will love yourself and in turn love others. Showing love even to your enemies is a Christian thing. The love of God is so powerful. It can change an enemy into a friend. So today love and forgive unconditionally. This will enable all around you to know what real love is.

The Real Jesus Christ
The Real Jesus Christ
– 1 John 5:6 – May 4, 2008
Intro: Today from
these verses we will learn about who the real Jesus Christ. Talk about when my dad and I heard. Garner Ted Armstrong.
This is the one who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water
and the blood. And it is the Spirit who
testifies because the Spirit is truth.
1. When you see this
verse without understanding the background.
It seems difficult but
John here is
refuting the Gnostic belief that the divine Christ descended on the man
Jesus at His
water baptism and then left before His crucifixition. John says that
Christ did not
just come by water but by blood. John
was saying that Jesus
Right from his
conception is divine. The blood that ran
through his veins was both
Human and yet
divine.
2. The blood shed on
the cross was the element, property or substance that secured our
Salvation. The blood is the most powerful element in the
universe. It cleansed the
Sin of every
person, past, present and future. The
blood of Jesus Christ secured us
Salvation and
redemption. It gave us access to the
throne of God. It brings us
Success and the
fullness of the Holy Spirit. In a few
moments I we will be sharing
Communion which
is a celebration of the broken body and the shed blood.
3. Then John reminds
his audience and us that it is the Holy Spirit who testifies of Christ.
His testimony is
true. This morning we are looking at the
one of the 8 themes in this
chapter. The divine witnesses of earth and heaven.
For there are three that testify:
The Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
1. John makes it
clear that the baptism of Jesus, with the Father confirming Jesus as the
Son and the Holy
Spirit landing on Jesus is one witness.
The shedding of His blood
on the cross was
the second witness and the resident Holy Spirit is the third.
2. The Baptism of
Jesus and His crucifixition are historical facts. These three witnesses
Are in agreement
that a single divine Person, the Lord Jesus Christ was involved in
These
events.
3. John in his
focused on the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Knew that the Gnostic’s
Under Cerinthus
views were utterly false and contrary to the true witness of the Holy
Spirit.
4. John here in this
passage and book are exposing the three false doctrines of the day.
First, that Jesus
is not the Christ. That of course is
attack today as well by books such
As the Divinci
code. Secondly, That God is not the
Father of Jesus. This is done by
Cults either
saying He is a created being or the younger brother of satan. Lastly,
That Jesus is
not the Son of God. Jewish and Gnostic
elements denied the miraculous
Virgin
Birth. They saw Jesus the man as the
ordinary son of Mary and Joseph.
We accept man’s testimony, but
God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God which he has
given about His Son.
1. In our country,
the testimony of one person can put us in jail for a long time. In
John’s day it was
two or three witnesses and their stories had to concur. In the trial
Of Jesus we see
the witnesses brought forward to testify about Jesus stories not
Agreeing. That is why the trial was such a sham.
2. The Spirit, water
and blood are Jesus’ witnesses. Their
testimony is true. This
Testimony, John
says is from God Himself. So John tells
his audience to believe
The Baptism of
Jesus, His shed blood and the Spirit’s testimony as proofs of Jesus’
Divinity and
don’t listen to the false doctrines and teaching of man which on the
Surface sound so
true.
3. To John anything
that takes away from Jesus divinity and humanity is from the pit
Of hell. John as we have talk about believe that Jesus
was 100% God and man. The
Perfect union of
the divine and humanity. God with a
face.
4. Jesus was the
essence and glory of God to John.
Remember John spoke like
Other on the Divinity of Christ. He was its greatest champion. Jesus was not a mere
Man but God who
was with the Father at creation. He
showed Jesus in earthly
Conversations,
sympathies and friendships.
5. John recorded not
only Jesus Baptism, but he was there at the Mount of
Transfiguration,
and the voice that spoke at the temple.
Each time the Father told the
audience that
Jesus was his beloved Son and John was there for each one. So he heard
the testimony of the Father and He speaks of it hear. This then silences the voices of
the critics and
Gnostics.
6. As we prepare for
communion let us focus on the reality of this truth. Jesus had his
Body broken and
his blood shed for us.
Verse Today
Luke 6:12New International Version (NIV)
The Twelve Apostles
12 One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.
The reader
The reader – Romans 14:19’20
Vs 19 – Paul encourages His
readers to make every effort to do what makes for peace and mutual
edification. Paul said the same things
to the Ephesians. It is our
responsibility to walk in unity, peace and encouragement. Jesus said that we are His disciples if we
love one another. In 1 John 4:7-8, John
said if we do not love one another we are not Christ’s disciples because God is
love.
Vs 20 – Paul warns that the
work of God can be destroyed over trivial matters such as food and drink. Paul is saying let us major on majors and
minor on minors. Meat and drink,
personal bias and convictions need to be balanced out in love and
maturity. Don’t do something that will
destroy another’s faith.
Wisdom
This is a very simple thought. The fool thinks if you ignore a problem it will go away. The wise knows a problem does not go away. It will not so meet each problem head on and ask for the Lord's help. He will never forsake you or leave Him and it you lack wisdom He promises to give it to you.

2 Chron 20:16 - Lessons From 2 Chronicles – April 20,
2008-04-14
Intro: This morning
we are going to learn five lessons from the book of 2 Chronicles. Which theme
is, God manifesting His glory and how the temple of God
must be the center of life.
1. The book of 2
Chronicles deals with the nation of Judah from the time of Solomon
To the
captivity. A time period of 400
years. This book deals extensively on
the
Reasons why Judah had so
many problems This leads to our first
lesson.
a. Blessings, follow those who genuinely follow God. Judah as a nation learned the
Hard way that you
must never forget God. Ezra who is the
writer of this book wanted
To remind his
audience who were the returning exiles that God truly wants to bless His
People but He
does not want partial surrender which is the most prevalent sin among
The church. Here is a survey done 20 years ago in a major
evangelical denomination
In the
states. (7522) God is looking for whole hearted surrender of
heart, soul, mind
& strength.
b. Ezra makes it
clear that Judah
was destroyed because they forgot God.
They were
Now being
restored as a nation because of God’s grace and that He never forgets His
covenants. Ezra
wants the returning exiles to learn from the lessons of the past to
Not repeat them
in the present or future times. One
writer wrote, “those that refuse to
learn from their
mistakes will be doomed to repeat them.”
2. The second lessons
was the
importance of the temple as the centre of all things in
life. Ezra spent an incredible amount of time on
the construction,
Meaning and
reality of the temple as a symbol of God’s presence and the physical
Representation of
God.
a. In Ezra day’s the
temple had just been rebuilt by Zerubabbel.
Ezra’s task was the
Teach the people
the word of God, to be an instrument of conscience and a voice for
God.
b. Ezra talks about
the building of the temple by Solomon and Hiram. He carefully
Records its furnishings and related hardware
associated with it. He then records
about
Its dedication,
the events and prayers offered at the dedication and God’s response to
It. Ezra saw the temple as a place where God
could meet with His people, a place of
Worship where He
could manifest His gory and physical presence.
c. Today we are the
temple of the Holy Spirit. 1 Cor
6:19-20, God lives in us by the
Indwelling of the
Holy Spirit and we are to manifest His glory and presence. As His
Ezra could only
dream about. We are to glorify Him. Paul tells us that we have been
Bought with a
price. The Holy Spirit became a
permanent resident when you invited
Christ into your
life. You now can exhibit His power,
fruit and gifts. What a
Privilege and
great responsibility. Talk about the
transformation of Paul.
3. The third lesson
we learn is that when the kings followed God they were great
Blessings when they did not, they were a great
curse. Being a blessing or curse
is a
Matter of choice. We make decision and choices everyday. Some have little effect
On ourselves or
others. Other choices do not. Talk about Hitler coming to church.
Corrie Ten Boone
choosing love the Germans
a. There were good
kings like Jehoshaphat, Josiah, and Hezekiah.
There were bad kings
Like, Ahaziah,
Ahaz and Manasseh. Talk about his
conversion.
b. Remember the
leaders chosen will either lead us morally or they will reflect who we
Are morally. To make sure that happens, 2 Chron 7:14 give
us the key. The people of
God must humble
themselves, pray, seek His face and turn from our wicked ways.
Then God will
hear from heaven and heal our land. This
is where our text comes into
Play so
powerfully. We can win this battle for
Hay River, the north and Canada . The
4. The fourth lesson
is only
through worship of the true God can a nation be totally
Rebuilt and have a firm
foundation.
a. A number of kings were able to rebuild their nation Jehoshaphat did, Josiah, Joash
And
Hezekiah. Each time they made the Lord
their focus and God not only blessed
But the nation
prospered in every way. Again I remind
you of Matt 6:33 and
John10:10.
b. Ezra wanted his
generation to be aware of this. He did
not want them to make the
Same mistakes as
their ancestors. These two books would serve
as warnings and
Guide posts. This truth has both an individual and
national in focus. The Bible for us
is our guide post
and compass. It keeps us on track. Solomon took over the nation
From his father
David. Under him Israel experienced
its golden age but he did not
stay true to God
and in his old age, he loved his foreign wives more than God. He
Later example and
idolatry help divide the kingdom because his son Rehoboam was
Proud, foolish and
ignorant. He rejected wise counsel for
foolish.
5. Our last lesson is
that God deals with men and women on the fact of serving Him or
Not. God sees and knows very clearly who is His or
not. Being His means that you
Have a
relationship with the creator of the universe but you also have all the
resources
Of heaven at your
disposal.
a. This book has a
real evangelistic message. Serve God,
live and prosper. Serve, man,
World or the
devil and you will wither and die. Each
king who did not serve God was
A blimp, vapour
or poof of smoke. They left no lasting
legacy or mark, except they
Did not serve
the Lord. That was their epitaph their
mark on history. No one
Remembers the
King who enslaved Israel
but they sure know about Moses.
b. People remember
Pontius Pilate because of Jesus otherwise he would have been
Another unknown
governor of Judea .
c. Joshua in his
closing remarks to Israel
encourages them to serve the Lord. In
Josh
24:15, Joshua
secured his legacy by saying as for me and my house we will serve the
Lord.
d. Today let us make
a decision to be living examples of Jesus Christ. To serve him and
Learn
from Ezra’s chronicles of the Kings of Judah
and Israel . To Ezra the spiritual
Side of life was
more important than the civil or political.
He believed as I do that the
Spiritual leads the natural. When a person is right with God all will be
right in their
World. No matter what happens
Verse Today
Matthew 7:11English Standard Version (ESV)
11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
Statements
Statements – Romans 14:17-18
Vs 17 – Paul then gives one
of the most powerful statements in the Bible.
The Kingdom
of God is not a matter of
food and drink. This Kingdom which is in
you and is being preached through out the world has three components to
it. Righteousness, peace and joy in the
Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us
three virtues to empower us to live a godly and pure live based on mutual
respect and love.
Vs 18 - When
you walk in righteousness, peace and joy you are living a life that is pleasing
to God and approved by men. You live
your life for an audience of one but you also show Jesus Christ to the world. Righteousness, peace and joy are qualities
that the world is in desperate need of and are approved by all men.
Will of God
It is the middle of the week and here is a great thought. Submission to the will of God will destroy the will of man in the heart. What is amazing is that God has a plan for your life. Submission to His will brings that about. Remember it says in James 4:7, Submit to God and the devil will flee from you. Submission is the key.

Proverb of Steel
Children want their parents to love them as
unconditionally as they love their parents.
Verse Today
Proverbs 15:29New International Version (NIV)
29 The Lord is far from the wicked,
but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
Stumbling Block
Stumbling Block – Romans 14:15-16
Vs 15 - Paul has been introducing what we call the
stumbling block principle. If a fellow
Christian is distressed by something you are doing and you become aware of
it. The best course of action is in
their presence not do it. Acting in love
means that you respect their conviction and do not practice it in their
presence. Jesus died for both of you and
you have been united through Him.
Wisdom, love and common sense are the order of the day. You do not let them impose their convictions
on you but you respect them by not either mocking or deliberately flaunting
your opposition to this conviction by doing it in their presence.
Vs 16 – Do not allow what you
consider good to spoken as evil. Defend
your conviction especially if it is based on the Bible but do not judge or
condemn another if they do not agree with you.
Tuesday Thought
It is Tuesday and here is such a great Thought. Children want their parents to love them as unconditionally as they love their parents. So today love your family and put them first. Children grow up so fast and they need love. That should come from their parents. Parents you have been given such a privilege and honor. Children are a heritage from the Lord. You can shape the next generation so love and be a role model for your kids. They love unconditionally and so should you as a parent.

Proverb of Steel
There are three things to remember about
time. It waits for no one, it goes to quickly and only God can help you
redeem it.
meat is not
than that is their decision. Our
reaction should be one of understanding and tolerance. This is not an essential truth which needs to
be defended.
Not passing judgment
Not passing judgment – Romans
14:13-14
Vs 13 - Paul makes a straight forward statement about
not passing judgment on each other. In
stead we are to make up our minds to not put either a stumbling block or
obstacle in a fellow Christians way.
Many times knowingly or unknowingly we try to impose our values,
convictions and personal bias on others.
We wrap it in Christian language, terms and spirituality but the reality
it is how we see things and not God.
Paul says do not do this. Instead
make the effort to follow Christ and let Him deal with a weaker Christian.
Vs 14 – Paul says that as one
who is in the Lord, he declares that all meat is clean. Now if someone decides certain meat is not
than that is their decision. Our
reaction should be one of understanding and tolerance. This is not an essential truth which needs to
be defended.
Time
As we start a brand new week here is a simple thought. There are three things to remember about time. It waits for no one, it goes to quickly and only God can help you redeem it. So use your time wisely. Maximize every moment. Use each one as a time to glorify God and touch others. God has given you time to use so use it wisely.

An Account
An Account – Romans 14:12-13
Vs 12 – Each one of us will
have to give an account of ourselves to God.
For the non believer it will have to do with sin. For the believer we will be judged on love,
faithfulness, obedience, faith, how we minister to others on His behalf,
integrity, morality, motives and attitudes.
Weekend Thought
As we head into the weekend here is a simple thought. Never let your present circumstances interfere in your future plans. God has everything under control. Remember all things work together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purposes. God will be with you and will guide your life. How you react and trust the Lord will help you in the future. Trust the Lord with all your heart and do not lean to your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge the Lord and He will direct your path. remember that.

Proverb of Steel
When the Lord governs the a nation the people
prosper. When man governs a nation people perish.
Two Questions
Two Questions – Romans 14:10-11
Vs 10 – Paul then asks two
questions. Why do you judge your brother
and why do you look down on your brother? Pointed and direct questions. This must have been a problem then as it is
now. Passing judgment on another shows
immaturity and carnality on the part of the person who is judging. One day we will all have to stand in the
judgment seat. Jesus said that in the
same way you judge others the Lord will judge us. A good warning to heed and a good reason not
to judge.
Vs 11 – Paul then quotes
Isaiah 45:23 about how one day every knee will bow and every tongue will
confess the Lord. All creation will have
to give an account. I look forward to
the day when satan will be brought before the Lord and will have to confess his
obedience to the Lord. He will say, “Jesus
is Lord.” We will be there to see it. All rebels no matter who they are will give
an account and be judged accordingly. It
is a terrible thing to fall in the hands of an angry and just God. That is why we should be so grateful for the
blood of Jesus Christ that cleanses us from all sin.
Thursday Thought
It Thursday and the week is going by very fast and here your thought for today. When the Lord governs the a nation the people prosper. When man governs a nation people perish. So let God govern your heart and in turn you will influence your world. God's people are called to be salt and light. We are to touch all aspects of life. So today let your light shine so even those in power will be convicted. Be a Daniel and Joseph and touch your world in a powerful way for Christ.

Dad
Father’s Day – Prov
3:1-2 – June 15th 2008
Intro: Every year I get the privilege of being
involved in a Father’s Day Service and to commend and exhort Fathers. Dad, did you know the official flower of
Father’s Day is the Dandelion. The more
you stomp or trampled on it the better it grows.
1. Solomon opens with a simple exhortation. He says, “my son do not forget my
Teaching, but keep my commands in
your heart.” Solomon wanted his
children
To understand that
what e was teaching them was from the word of God and the
Experience he had
gained. Solomon was the wisest man of
his day. He had done
Everything he could
to gain wisdom and knowledge. Only one
man in the Bible
Was wider than
Solomon and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.
a. Solomon wanted his children and the audience
he was writing to understand that
if you keep a
Father’s teaching in your heart. When
principles are in your heart
most likely they will
transferred to life.
b. Follow sound godly principles will save you
from a multitudes of sins and disasters.
c. Solomon reveals the reason or incentive to
keeps these commands. It is 1292 promise
in the Bible. It has a two part blessing. They will prolong your life for many years.
And bring your prosperity.
d. The Bible does teach if we honour our parents
that it will go well with us and we will
live a long
life. As Paul said this in Eph 6:3.
It is a commandment with a promise.
That is what Solomon
is saying in a nutshell.
e. In essence what is being said, is learn from
your parents examples and also the lessons
they teach and become
the people God’s wants you to be.
2. C.W. Kenington writes. There is one essential qualification for a
good father: He
Must be a Christian.
a. There are four reasons a father needs to be a
Christian,. There are as follows,
1.
To lead his children to salvation in Christ. This is the greatest need of every person.
In John 3:18, John
reminds his readers that those who do not believe in God’s only
Son are condemned to
a lost eternity. No father wants to see
this happen. So it
Becomes of every
father to bring that message to his
family. Paul exhorts father in
Eph 6:4 to train up
their children in the fear and admonition of
the Lord.
2. To impart to his children the understanding
of life. We must teach by word
and
Example that the
purpose of life is not to satisfy self.
Jesus taught in Luke 12:23 that
Life was more than,
food, clothing and shelter. This just
creates worry and unbelief.
It is more than
security, significance and self worth.
The purpose of life is to glorify
God. Jesus taught this in Matt 5:16 in the Sermon
on the Mount.. Not seeing this
Creates a sub par
life. Jesus said in John 10:10, I have
come to give you life and more
Abundantly.
3. To give his children moral guidance. For some they think morals are
pictures on a
Wall and scruples are
money in Russia . The world advocates and promotes a godless
Lifestyle. A situation ethics and no concrete foundation
for life. A good father will
Resist that and teach
their children there are absolutes, commandments and
Consequences to our
choices. Gal 6:8 states that God is not
mocked, whatever we
Sow we shall
reap. Fathers must have grounds for the
demands they make on their
Children. The standard is the Word of God, the
Bible. It has proven it reliability
Down through
centuries.
4. To love his children to the fullest. Human love can sometimes turn us from
God’s
way. That is why Paul says again in Eph 6:3 for
fathers not to exasperate their
children or cause
them to have wrath. Let us not make
unreasonable demands on
our family. Use the statement, “I am the ma of the
household or I am dad so you have
to obey me no matter
what.”
a. A godly father, is willing to admit he is
wrong, ask forgiveness. Be a role model
and
mentor. Let us be fair and honest, don’t spoil your
children or be lax in discipline..
b. A godly father teaches the truths of God’s
word by his lifestyle not by what he says.
c. That is why we must let divine love direct
our dealings. Divine love always does
what
is best. Divine love is from the Holy Spirit. Only a Christian dad has God’s
indwelling
Spirit. Dad I encourage you to get to
know God so much better so you can
impart greater
blessings and teaching to your children.
Conclusion.
Here are some marks of a
dedicated Christian Father.
1. He is committed to Christ everyday.
2. He is Christian in both word and deed.
He listens to God’s word and does what it
Says; his children
see Christ in him.
3. He is a man that reads the Bible himself and
communicates to his children. That
is
Where daily devotion
with your spouse and children are so important.
4. He is a man of prayer. There is nothing like children seeing
their father praying.
This leaves a lasting
impression on them.
5. He takes his children to the house of Lord
himself. This says to our
children that
God’s house is
important. You don’t just go when it is
a holiday, special occasion
Or when you feel like
it. Nothing kills strong faith and
spirituality than inconsistency
And partial obedience. We sent the stage. This statistic reflect this truth. When a
Mother comes to the
Lord, 50% of the time children will come to know Christ. When
A father comes to
know the Lord 80% of the time the children will come. Dad we set
The stage. It has been said that 85% of a children’s
self worth come from the father.
Dad we need to be there for our children and begin to
start again.
