Who is in charge
It is Friday and here is a simple thought. God will never debate with man. He is God and creator you are not. When you realize this and that God has a plan for your life you truly become free. Jesus Promised in John 10:10 abundant life. When you know God has that as a plan you know the best thing to do is submit to God and let Him lead the way. Here is a little phrase to remember. If God is your co-pilot, change seats.
The Future Revealed
The Future Revealed – Matt 24
When examining and exploring Matthew 24. You will mine a deep vein of truth. Here are four things this chapter reveals to us today. People are expecting the return of the Lord and so they will be living like everything is normal when it is not. One man will be taken and another left behind in a moment of time. Paul says that this event will happen in the twinkling of an eye. We need to live ready because when it happens you won’t even have time to think a thought.
Keep watch for you do not know the time the Lord will come. He will be like a thief in the night. You will not be expecting Him. Be like the faithful servant and be ready for the Lord’s return. The message here is to watch. We are to lift up our heads for Christ is coming. Be ready and pray that you may escape. Things will try to trap you but don’t let them.

Jesus Challenge
Jesus Challenge – Matt 26:26:1-5
So what was Jesus’ challenge? As a man of free will, would He do the will of God. This question would be settled in Gethesame but would take three intense sessions of prayer. Will you do the will of God because it will always cost everything? Time, talents, resources. Past, present future.
Your will, dreams, desires and wants. It will cost you family, friends and relationships. It will cost your reputation, future employment because of standards and morality. You will have new enemies such as the world, the flesh and the devil.
But whatever you lose it will be given back to you 30, 60 and 100 fold in this life and the next. So Jesus challenge is actually is our challenge. Are you willing to pay it and look at the eternal and abundant life before you in Christ?

The Upper Room
The Upper Room – Luke 22:14-30
What is amazing that in the midst of the most meaningful moments of Jesus life a dispute rose among His disciples about who was the greatest among them. Jesus stopped them and once again taught them about the rules of advancement in the Kingdom of God.
The greatest among us must become a servant. You are not like the Kings of the earth. If you want to be great in God’s kingdom you have to be the servant of all. If you want to be first, you have to learn to be last. Jesus came as a servant. He came too served not to be served. Jesus then said that He has a table in which the disciples will eat and drink later. Their reward for service will be that they will judge the twelve tribes of Israel.

Success in prayer
Success in prayer - Daniel 9:23
Daniel’s life pleased God. The background for our two scriptures is that Daniel was interceding for His nation. He did this with, prayer, petition, fasting and sackcloth and ashes. Gabriel came and told him in Dan 9:23, that as soon as you began to pray an answer was given.
Daniel was told he was highly esteem by God. You meet the conditions prayer and you will always be successful. Daniel was also aware of two other things. First, that prayer could be delayed. In our second scripture Dan 10:12. That as soon as Daniel words were uttered they were heard by God. Yet it took 3 weeks for the answer to come because of demonic hindrance. The demonic prince of Persia had stopped Gabriel so Michael came to help.
Never be discouraged if prayer takes a while there are reasons. Jesus taught about being persistent, to keep on asking and hold onto the word. Daniel was also aware of other hindrances. So go and take your world today in prayer.

Power of Prayer
Power of Prayer – Dan 9:23
Prayer enables us to fully experience God’s love and power in the midst of trails. Prayer gives us insight on how God hates arrogance and selfishness and it shows how when we trust and acknowledge God we have the victory. Daniel was a man that understood that certain conditions enabled him to have successful prayer. They are as follows.
a. Contrition. 2 Chron 7:14, says that we must humble ourselves, seek his face, turn from our wicked ways and pray. This will bring, God’s hearing, forgiveness and healing.
b. Wholeheartedness. Jer 29:13 says, when we seek God we will find Him, when we seek him with all our heart.
c. Faith. Mark 11:24, Jesus stated that if we ask in prayer and believe we will have it.
d. Righteousness. James 5:16, says that the effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
e. Obedience. 1 Jn 3:22, reminds us that we will receive from Him anything we ask because we obey His commands and do what pleases Him.

Healthy
It is the beginning of the week and here is a thought. Health rather than sickness was God’s original intent for human race. It was our sin that mess His plan up. John said in 3 John 2 that God wants us to be health and prosperity as our soul prosper. Health begins from the inside out. Did you know that 80% of sickness comes from us believing that we are sick. So here is a thought, begin to believe God for your healing and start from the inside out. Yes, live healthy but also think healthy. It will be amazing what could happen.
Daniel a man who aw tomorrow
Daniel a man who aw
tomorrow _ Dan 9:23
I am so excited to be able to share with
you devotionals on the life, ministry
and book of Daniel. He is in the top
three of my favourite Old Testament heroes.
Daniel was a man who saw tomorrow but life was relevant for his time. He was a man blameless and above reproach in
an empire of deceit, corruption and petty politics. Like Joseph he had an ability to interpret
dreams and visions and he was a Prime Minister of a great empire. Over this week we will look at different aspects of His life and
focus on the essentials of what made this man a person who never had one bad
thing recorded about Him and how He influenced an empire and his world. From his example you can learn to influence
your world.

God is still speaking
The Lord is disturbed over this nations slide towards immorality. He however promises to do a new thing in full view of all. He is going to raise up a chosen generation to speak for Himself. They will be His voice both in language and lifestyle. Purity, holiness, transparency and accountability will characterize this generation. Like Daniel and Joseph of old they will rise to a place of influence. They will speak to national, provincial and municipal leaders. People will hear them because they will speak like Jesus did, with authority, Signs will follow them. That which is good and right will be exhibited by them and righteousness will win the day. Peace, love, joy and mercy will be extended through them for a time. Open your heart to the Lord and you can make yourself one of them. Rid yourself of all the sins and weights that can easily trip you up. Keep your eyes on Jesus for He is the author and finisher of your faith. Make a stand and you will stand and be part of this unique and powerful generation. Victory will be yours in the Lord.
Wednesday Thoughts
It is the middle of the week and the second day of a short work week. Today here is something to think about. The purpose of healing for the Christian should center in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and the advancement of His Kingdom. He is the one who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. we live and work for Him. Today make it your aim to minister God's love and healing in your world. Be a blessing and touch others today for Him. It is what we have been made for.

Love is an absolute pre-requisite to Christian living is the oil that lubricate the machinery of the Christian life. Let the love of God flow through your life to others. No Gates of Hell
No Gates of Hell
The gates of hell will not prevail, overcome or destroy the church. We win, conquer, overcome and have victory. No demon, worldly influence and fleshly opponent will defeat us. There is no weapon formed against us will prosper. It is important that we remember that as we go forth today.
Matthew 16:16 Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God’.
Jesus is the *Messiah and the son of God
This was a wonderful answer. 'Christ' means the same as *Messiah. Peter realized that Jesus was the son of God.
Jesus had an explanation for what Peter had said. The *disciples could only say this because God had told them. God had helped them to believe in Jesus. Do you know that today.

I will build my church
Matt 16:13-20 - I will build my church
Upon men like Peter the Lord will build his church. Men who God has shown the truth of Jesus Christ and they stand upon that. The gates of hell will not prevail, overcome or destroy the church. We win, conquer, overcome and have victory. No demon, worldly influence and fleshly opponent will defeat us.
We have the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. Righteous, peace, joy and love. Keys in those days represent power and authority. We have the power and authority to do the works of Christ. We are His ambassadors and representatives and we can continue His work.

Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah
Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah
13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter,[a] and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[b] will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[c] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[d] loosed in heaven.”20 Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.

The Wise and Foolish Builders
The Wise and Foolish Builders – Matt 7:24-27
Jesus is almost finished His Sermon on the Mount. He has taught on almost every aspect of life. Now He closes this sermon by giving a practical illustration. He says that those who hear His sayings and does them is like a wise builder. This man built his house on a rock. When the storm comes his house will stand. Those who hear Jesus’ words and does not do them is like the foolish builder. He builds his house on the sand or the beach. It has a great view but when the storm comes because of a shifting foundation the house falls. Jesus has made a clear distinction between His teachings and the teaching of the leaders of the day. The wise follow Jesus and the foolish follow the teachers of the day.
Jesus offers stable righteousness while the Pharisees offer unstable traditions of men. The foolish hear Jesus’ teaching and still cling to their sinful and wicked ways. The wise hear what Jesus says and does what He wishes and then inherit eternal life and righteousness.

Two Paths
Two Paths – Matt 7:13-14
Jesus then illustrates the paths to God. He had in the previous verse made it clear that righteousness is a product of an inner transformation. When a person asks Christ into their life they are regenerated from the inside out by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus then points out that if you want eternal and abundant life you have to enter by the straight and narrow gate. Jesus then points out that the highway to hell or the road to destruction is wide. In John 14:6, we are presented with the reality that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and no one can come to the Father but through Him. Worldly philosophy states that there are many paths to God. Jesus debunks these lies by saying the path to destruction wide and many people are travelling it. Have many people heading the same direction does mean they know where they are going, it just means they have a large group to travel in.
Jesus says the way to eternal life, righteousness and abundant life is narrow and few will find it. Jesus also compares His teachings with those of the religious leaders of the day. Their teaching will lead to destruction and His will lead to eternal life.
